  • This is a basic course that has been specifically designed for high school online students to acquire basic knowledge of the Arts as part of the curricula and as part of a globalized world that demands intercultural and creative skills that are developed among other practices, trough artistic practices and experiences.
  • Therefore, this course intention is to initiate student in art principles that will help him (her) develop abilities, values and skills to go further into art history and its principal currents along history and how this art practices influence man kind to communicate, express and critique in a creative and peaceful way in order to make change possible as part of evolution.

Objectives

  • Contribute to student's personal development
       through knowledge and practice of plastic and visual arts principles to
       increase creative aptitudes, develop lateral thinking and exercise manual
       activities that would increase perceptive visual skills, and form a
       critical and constructive consciousness about the world that surrounds
       them.

Methodology

·Didactic technique used is this art course is based on learning based on projects with the curricular focus on Competencies (According to OCDE suggestions for education in Education at a Glance 2011: OECD Indicators. Consulted November 19 2012 from

·Allowing student to experience , explore and develop the creative thinking bystarting from reading someinformation and theoretical bases on the subject , then student is presented a project or art work to make, by looking at examples of this and researching more ifit is required, depending on the complexity of the task.Finally student will present final work always attaching 3 pictures of process making, as part of evidence of process making, which is as important as the resulting work, since is in the process where you evaluate and change whatever actions or processes that do not work for the project or solution of a situation.

·Each course is divided in 10 lessons, which are presented in Power Point in about 20 slides, where student will find information, guidelines for lesson work, instructions, list of materials needed, visual examples of the work required.

·At the end of each lesson there is an evaluation of 10 questions.

·At the 5thlesson there is a midterm exam with 50 questions. (The questions asked in previous lessons)

·At the end of the 10 lessons there is a final exam with 100 questions seen in previous lessons.
